Network
Administrator’s role is to ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer
network. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring,
maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and
communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware
and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion.
You will
be responsible for:

Assuring system
stability, security and maximum uptime
-
Resolving
connectivity, performance, security and access problems
-
Monitoring
access to system resources, and tracking connectivity and security problems
-
Analyzing
problems and implementing solutions according to best practice standard
-
Perform circuit
and network troubleshooting to diagnose system problems
-
Analyze system
functionality
-
Identify,
locate, and resolve complex network problems to ensure minimal disruption of
critical applications
-
Monitor and
review system log reports and network documentation
-
Resolve and
repair problems within scope of authority.
-
Install and
configure hardware and equipment, and system software applications, including
remote site deployments as required. Installs, configures and updates network
server software upgrades, file sharing and domain security protocols.

Tracking issues
until it has been resolved and reported appropriately.
The
successful candidate will possess:

Five years
experience in Network Administration

Must possess L2
switching, IP Routing

A very thorough
experience with Firewalls and NAT
-
Working
knowledge of networked computer system environments and device capabilities.

Working
knowledge of Wide Area Network (WAN) management and configuration principles.

Working
knowledge of Linux based servers (mail+spam+antivirus, DNS, DHCP, SAN)
-
Knowledge of T1
& fractional T1 transmission systems.

Knowledge of
private line and frame relay WAN protocols
-
Knowledge of a
wide variety of operating and server systems, including open source server
operating systems.

Knowledge of
telecommunications industry and infrastructure.

Knowledge of
network hardware and software troubleshooting techniques.

VoIP knowledge
is beneficial
-
Must possess
one or more of the following certifications: CCNP (Cisco Certified Network
Professional), and / or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate).
